I am in the process of setting my 2014 show schedule.   does anyone have any ideas?

I am determined to have over $100,000 in sales this year and have applied to the MN State fair and the Minnesota renaissance.  Keeping my fingers crossed - anyone have any "pull" with either of these organization?

The "Queen" found her place in life... at the Minnesota Renaissance Faire.  My daughter, son and I had so much fun, met many new friends and sampled over over 30 gallons of coffee last fall.

We do so well, that Coffee Queen is applying for their permanent area.  Hope to see you there next year!

Want to annouince that Coffee Queen Coffee will be on the shelves of two more stores.  The County Markets in Isanti and Andover are now part of the Queen's family!  I am in negotiations as to when sampling will be held at these two stores.

County Market - Hudson, WI

I am very pleased to announce that the Hudson, WI County Market has accepted Coffee Queen Coffee.  Look for it in the coffee isle, next to the Keurig coffees.

My first sampling will be this Saturday, 12/15/12 from 10:00 - 6:00.  Stop by to say hi and have a sample or two!

Well the Coffee Fest is over, and the fall show season is coming to an end.

My last show of the season will be on Saturday, December 1st at the Maple Grove Elementary School in Maple Grove, MN.  This is such a strange time for me, on the one hand, I can't WAIT until all my shows are done - it is so much work.  But on the other hand, I will miss seeing all of you at the shows and samplings.

For me, winter is a time for reflection on the past year and for working on new products and processes (as well as putting 2,000 miles on the snowmobile with my hubby of 31 years).  I hope to have a new sugar free coffee line by spring!

Remember...  You can live without coffee - but why???

COFFEE FEST COMING SOON!!!

I can't wait for Coffee Fest next Saturday.  If you like all things coffee, come and participate in this fundraiser event.  for $10 you get a memorial mug and all the coffee you can drink and wonder food samples made from coffee.  Last year we sampled over 16 gallons of coffee 1 oz at a time - WOW.

Kowalski's and Coffee Fest!

Well the Kowalski's sampling went well.  Please stop into the Woodbury store.  My coffees are in a three tiered basket next to the elevator!  If there is a Kowalski's near you, please talk to the store manager and request they put Coffee Queen on their shelves - it is easy for them now that I am a vendor!

Don't forget... Coffee Queen can now be found at the Kowalski's Woodbury market!

The Coffee Queen gourmet instant coffees has now been picked up by Kowalski's!  I am so excited for my first demo at their Woodbury store.  I will be there on October 26th from 10:00 - 4:00.  Stop by, say hi and try the three flavors I will be sampling...  English Toffee, French Vanilla and Vanilla Caramel - yum - yum!

DOES THIS SOUND GREAT?  TOFFEE APPLE COFFEE TIME BARS -

TRY IT WITH COFFEE QUEEN'S ENGLISH TOFFEE INSTANT COFFEE!

INGREDIENTS

CRUST

• 2 cups Pillsbury BEST^® All Purpose Flour
• 1/2 cup powdered sugar
• 1 cup butter

FILLING

• 1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand^® Sweetened Condensed Milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1 large egg
• 1 cup peeled, chopped apple
• 1 cup chopped pecans
• 1 cup toffee baking bits

GLAZE

• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 2 to 3 tbsps. strong brewed English Toffee Coffee Queen instant coffee made with luke warm tap water.,

DIRECTIONS:

1.     HEAT oven to 350°F. Combine flour and 1/2 cup powdered sugar in medium bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press in bottom of ungreased 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake 15 minutes or until set while making filling.

2.     COMBINE sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, cinnamon and egg in large bowl; blend well. Stir in remaining filling ingredients; mix well. Pour mixture over partially baked crust.

3.     BAKE an additional 35 to 40 minutes or until filling is set and top is golden brown. Cool 10 minutes. Run knife around sides of pan to loosen. Cool 1 hour or until completely cooled.

4.     COMBINE glaze ingredients in small bowl, adding enough coffee for desired drizzling consistency. Blend until smooth. Drizzle over bars. Let stand 10 minutes or until glaze is set. Cut into bars. Store in loosely covered container.

Once again Coffee Queen Coffee may be in the Great Moods Gift Basket fundraisers.  Last year we missed it by a hair!

Coffee Nog for Christmas!

This sounds like a great way to use my Irish Cream or Amaretto gourmet instant coffee...

4 oz egg nog
4 oz prepared Coffee Queen gourmet instant coffee
whipped cream

blend egg not and instant coffee, top with whipped cream.  Serve hot or cold

Sad to say, my huge opportunity didn't work out - sigh!  It was felt I couldn't produce enough coffee in the short time to meet the order - too bad...
