Exciting news...

Whew... taking some well deserved rest after 2 rather crazy weeks.  Been talking to everyone and their brother to pull this together.  Thank you to several industry people who have helped me navigate thru the packaging/packing industry.  I have a HUGE opportunity to produce my coffees in single serve packets called "coffee shotz".


I will keep you posted with the results.  I should have a decision next week (hopefully) and perhaps you will see Coffee Queen Coffee on your shelves at your local grocery store soon!

Another day ... another cup of coffee

Who says you can't have it all.  The best part of the week is sitting on our deck on an early Saturday morning with the hubby, watching the deer, turkeys, and sand hill cranes moseying through our back yard and sipping our coffee.  After almost 30 years of marriage, we don't have to talk, we just sit in silence enjoying each other's company, knowing that all is well with the world.

Coffee Queen Coffee frappuccino (the fat free way!)

3 cups ice
1 cup skim milk
1 cup fat free ice cream or vanilla yogurt
6 tablespoons Coffee Queen Instant Coffee mix (or to taste)

Put all in a blender and mix for 1-2 minutes

Voila - coffee house frappuccino without the coffee house price!

Wow, the Coffee Queen and her minions sampled over 16 gallons of coffee to over 1200 attendees at the Calhoun Coffee fest.  Our booth was three deep almost all day.  Had lots of fun - wish you were there!

The weather in Minnesota has begun to cool, which can only mean that winter will soon be upon us. Winter isn’t something to dread, however – because with it comes the 21st annual Coffee Festival! 


Coffee Queen will be attending the Calhoun Square’s Coffee Festival on November 20, from 10 am to 3 pm.

About Calhoun Coffee Festival

For over two decades, Calhoun Square's Coffee Festival has been an extremely popular event, drawing more than 1,000 Twin Cities residents to the Uptown area each year. For 2010, we are continuing our partnership with Second Harvest Heartland.

This year, the 21st Annual Coffee Festival will take place on November 20, 10 am to 3:00 pm, at Calhoun Square.

For only $10, coffee aficionados receive a limited edition 21st Annual Coffee Festival mug and access to vendors—samples include a large variety of coffee and teas, breads and desserts, plus a number of other tasty surprises! Admission also gives attendees access to the day's educational seminars as well as some fun entertainment. In addition to the entertainment and tasty treats and drinks, there are prize drawings and special offers from participating vendors.

The event signifies the unofficial start of the holiday shopping season, and to kick it off the first 1,000 attendees will receive a $5 discount to be used at participating retailers and restaurants.
